Gazaria, Jan 31 (V7N) — Religious Advisor Dr. A. F. M. Khalid Hossain called on students to work for society with knowledge, wisdom, and morality, while strongly criticizing political interference in universities.

Speaking as the president at the Hamdard University Bangladesh convocation ceremony on Saturday, Khalid Hossain said, “I hate the activities of organizations that are tailing political parties on university campuses. Corruption in the name of student politics has harmed our country. I do not want to see the dead bodies of any students who come to the university at this time.”

He emphasized the importance of building a society rooted in honest morality and called for the establishment of a research center for students to support academic development.

The convocation also featured speeches from Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan and University Grants Commission (UGC) member Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain.

Other dignitaries present included Hamdard University Bangladesh founder Dr. Hakim Md. Yusuf Harun Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Professor Dr. A. K. Azad Khan, Vice-Chairman Professor Dr. Chowdhury Mahmud Hasan, and Vice-Chancellor Professor Md. Manzarul Alam.
