Dhaka, Feb 01 (V7N) — All scheduled banks across Bangladesh will remain closed on February 11 and 12 (Wednesday and Thursday) on the occasion of the 13th National Assembly elections and referendum, the Bangladesh Bank announced on Sunday.

During this period, banking operations will be completely suspended, and officials and employees will be on leave.

According to Bangladesh Bank’s instructions, the closures follow the government-declared holidays for the election period. Earlier, on January 25, the Ministry of Public Administration issued an executive order declaring February 11 and 12 as holidays nationwide for the elections. Additionally, a special holiday on February 10 has been granted for workers and employees in industrial areas.
