Khulna, Feb 04 (V7N) — Law enforcement officers will be deployed on special duty for seven days before and after the 13th National Parliament election, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said on Wednesday. He added that there is no reason to fear a deterioration of the law and order situation during the elections.
The remarks were made at a view-sharing meeting at the Khulna Divisional Commissioner’s Office aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the election and referendum.
The Home Affairs Advisor said that modern technology will be employed to maintain law and order, alongside the deployment of the largest possible force to ensure a secure environment.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, members of law enforcement agencies, and other stakeholders.
