Dhaka, Feb 17 (V7N) — Former information advisor to the interim government, Mahfuz, has called on political actors to accept the electoral results and stop “playing the opposition drama.” He made the remarks in a post on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday.

In his post, Mahfuz wrote, “Accept the electoral division and now stop playing the opposition drama. Those who made the division and accepted it are on one side, and the people are on the other. It is sad for the students. How cheap they sold them!”

He further expressed concern over the potential misuse of media, stating, “Now they will sabotage the people’s just struggle with the help of PR campaigns and media manipulation. May Allah protect the people of this country.”

The statement comes as the new cabinet of the BNP-led government, under Tarique Rahman, is set to be sworn in at 4 pm today. A total of 49 full ministers and state ministers have been called to the cabinet following Tarique Rahman’s oath as the 11th Prime Minister of Bangladesh earlier in the day.
