Dhaka, Feb 20 (V7N) — Abdus Sattar Patwari has been appointed as the Prime Minister’s Research Officer on a contractual basis. The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification in this regard on Thursday.
According to the notification, he will assume the role in the final step of the Grade-9 pay scale from the date of joining. His appointment will remain valid for the tenure of the Prime Minister or until further satisfaction, whichever occurs earlier. The appointment is subject to the condition that he must relinquish any professional, business, or employment relationship with government, semi-government, or private institutions and organizations.
In a separate notification, SM Parvez has been appointed as Protocol Officer-2 under the same terms and salary structure.
The government stated that other terms and conditions of their appointments will be determined through contractual agreements.
It may be mentioned that the Bangladesh Nationalist Party formed the government for the fourth time in 20 years after securing more than two-thirds of the seats in the 13th National Parliament elections. Party Chairman Tarique Rahman has assumed office as Prime Minister for the first time.
