The national moon-sighting committee is set to convene on Tuesday to ascertain the date of Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most significant festivals in the Muslim calendar.

Scheduled to take place after Maghrib prayers, around 6:30 pm, the meeting will occur in the conference room of the Islamic Foundation's Baitul Mukarram Mosque office in the capital, as stated in a press release issued by the Islamic Foundation on Monday.

Religious Affairs Minister Md Faridul Haque Khan will chair the meeting.
