After 54 years of independence, the Awami League is commemorating this day on April 17 in the historic Mujibnagar. At the Mujibnagar Memorial, the national flag will be hoisted to celebrate Mujibnagar Day on April 17.
 
The historical Mujibnagar Day is tomorrow, April 17. Meherpur's old Mujibnagar serves as the focal point for the day's celebrations. This year, a day-long celebration of the day has been organised by the district administration and the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
 
 
On April 17, at six a.m., the national flag will be ceremoniously raised at the Mujibnagar Memorial to usher in Mujibnagar Day. There are last-minute preparations going on. The discussion gathering on the importance of the day is likely to be attended by high-ranking Awami League liders and activists.
 
After hoisting the national flag, a minute's silence will be observed in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and prayers will be offered for the salvation of the souls of the brave martyrs. Also, on the occasion of Mujibnagar Day at 9 am, he will present a book at the Mujibnagar Memorial and pay tribute with flowers on behalf of the Bangladesh Awami League Central Committee.
 
 After that, the leaders of various political parties will pay tribute with flowers at the memorial. Besides Meherpur District Awami League, Zilla Parishad, Zilla Jubo League and other party leaders and workers will present flower garlands.
Meherpur region has been covered with security blanket around Mujibnagar Day.
 
Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain said that the historic Mujibnagar Day will be celebrated in a festive atmosphere like every year.
 
Minister of Liberation War Mr. A.K.M. Mozammel Haque MP, will be present as the chief guest. Simin Hossain Rimi, Minister of State, Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, A.H.M. will be present as special guest. Khairuzzaman (Litton), Mayor, Rajshahi City Corporation and Dr Syeda Zakia Noor (Lippi) MP. Public Administration Minister Farhad Hossain MP will preside over the event.

To emphasise the backdrop of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's six-point demand, the garden's grandeur has been further strengthened with six different species of roses arranged on six steps. In 2003, the remarkable project was finished.
 
The colour palette in the garden is abundant. Roses come in a variety of colours in addition to white, yellow, orange. Multifaceted beauty is embodied by superstars such as Queen Elizabeth, yellow King's Ransom, red Milandi, and dark pink Taj Mahal. In total, the garden has 2,000 different types of flowers.
In order to expedite the transmission of the flavour of the independence movement, the Mujibnagar Complex authorities assert that Bangabandhu's six points might be dispersed across the historical park.
 
It's been a while since the garden of sweetness became popular. Much of the original, unspoiled beauty has since disappeared. the need from the forest department to make the run-down rose garden seem beautiful again.
 
"There is a rose garden with 2200 varieties of roses," stated Nazrul Islam, the upazila forest division's gardener. We use six different colour types to create the landscape. After taking over, we each have a distinct approach to maintaining this garden. There are still plenty of blooms in the garden despite his absence.
 
According to Mujibnagar Upazila Forest Division Officer Mishu, a rose garden honouring Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's six points has been created using 2200 different varieties of rose seedlings.
Zafar Ullah, the deputy director of forestry in Meherpur, stated, "With tireless efforts we have been able to grow six species of roses which was the original mandate to bring it to level six."
