Internet users in Bangladesh should anticipate a temporary disruption in connectivity for one hour early Friday, as maintenance work on the second submarine cable is scheduled.

The maintenance activity will focus on the South East Asia-Middle East-Western Europe 5 submarine cable, located in Kuakata. As a result, bandwidth supply from this cable will be temporarily disrupted from 3 am to 4 am.

However, it's important to note that bandwidth supply from the first submarine cable, SEA-ME-WE 4, will remain unaffected during this period.

The Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC) issued a press release to notify the public about this planned maintenance work, ensuring transparency and awareness among internet users.
