Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called on pro-liberation forces to unite and strengthen their resolve, warning that the government will take stringent measures against those who harm people, and no one will be spared.

"Those who carry out arson attacks and harm people will not be spared, regardless of their affiliations or actions," she declared. This statement was made during her introductory speech at the 14-party alliance meeting held at her official residence, Ganabhaban.

The Prime Minister highlighted the misuse of digital platforms by grenade attackers, arms smugglers, and corrupt individuals abroad, who continuously plot to overthrow the government. She assured that as long as the people support the government, such threats are inconsequential.

Sheikh Hasina, also the President of the ruling Awami League, stressed the importance of pro-liberation forces remaining in power for the welfare of the country. She urged these forces to be more organized and to spread the spirit of the liberation war among the people.

She emphasized that Bangladesh should be built in line with the spirit of independence and warned against those who oppose the country's progress, mentioning discomfort from a large unnamed country.

In terms of food security, she highlighted the importance of self-sufficiency, recalling that a large country questioned the need for Bangladesh to produce so much food. She reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring food security for its citizens.

Addressing the issue of inflation, Sheikh Hasina acknowledged the current economic discomfort, noting that inflation is a global issue, not just a local one. She reassured that the country's reserves, though decreasing, are sufficient to handle emergencies due to adequate food stock.

The Prime Minister also noted anomalies in the storage of food items, such as eggs being preserved in cold storages meant for potatoes, and stressed the need for strategic planning to advance the country.

Discussing international pressures, Sheikh Hasina revealed an offer made before the last national elections, where a foreign entity proposed a hassle-free re-election in exchange for establishing an air base in Bangladesh. She declined the offer, stating her commitment to national sovereignty.

She concluded by stating that conspiracies against the Awami League government are ongoing, both locally and internationally, but reaffirmed her stance against compromising the country's interests for power.

The 14-party alliance meeting was attended by key members, including 14-party alliance coordinator Amir Hossain Amu and AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
