The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of West Bengal has established a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the murder of Jhenaidah-4 MP Anwarul Azim Anar. Headed by an Inspector General, the team comprises three deputy inspector generals and other police officers.
The search for Anar’s body parts continues, with CID and Dhaka Metropolitan Police detectives questioning suspects. DNA testing will be conducted to confirm the identity of recovered flesh. The investigation also involves examining CCTV footage to trace the assailants' movements.
Three suspects are currently on remand in Dhaka, with ongoing efforts to locate the mastermind behind the murder. The case remains under active investigation, with further updates anticipated as forensic and investigative processes progress.
