According to the latest meteorological release, light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are expected across most areas within the eight divisions of Bangladesh. The forecast predicts moderately heavy to heavy rainfall in parts of the north, southeastern, and northeastern divisions.

Specifically, the weather bulletin states, "Light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions. Moderately heavy to heavy falls are anticipated in some areas of Rangpur, Chattogram, and Sylhet Divisions."

The monsoon trough's axis currently extends from Punjab and Haryana in India through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, and into Assam, crossing the central part of Bangladesh. An associated trough also stretches up to the North Bay.

The monsoon remains active over Bangladesh and is categorized as moderate to strong over the North Bay, according to the weather forecast valid for the next 24 hours starting from 9 am today.

Yesterday, Wednesday, the country's maximum temperature peaked at 33.0 degrees Celsius, jointly recorded at Ishurdi in Pabna and Srimangal in Moulvibazar. Today's minimum temperature was noted at 23.7 degrees Celsius in Bandarban.

Teknaf reported the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, measuring 87 millimeters until 6 am today.

Day and night temperatures are expected to remain relatively stable across the country.
