Dhaka, Aug 03 (V7N) - On Saturday, August 3, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Nahid addressed a large crowd of students and citizens at the Shaheed Minar, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her entire cabinet. Nahid declared, "This government must step down immediately. Our sole demand is the resignation of Sheikh Hasina."

He criticized the government, stating, "What more judgment can we expect from them? They are the perpetrators. We were detained at the DB office, but thanks to your protests, we have been released. There has been gunfire today as well. Given the situation, I am announcing a single demand: Sheikh Hasina has claimed that 'the door for discussions is open,' but it is clear she is merely trying to delay. The killings and violence necessitate her resignation and prosecution. All ministers must also resign."

Nahid further emphasized, "Our central demand is the resignation of Sheikh Hasina and accountability for this government's corruption and embezzlement. We will free our imprisoned allies and mobilize a united front. From tomorrow, we will initiate a nationwide non-cooperation movement."

He warned that any internet shutdown or curfew would be rejected. "Students and citizens must rise up and conduct a peaceful non-cooperation movement. The government’s stance against the people will not be tolerated. Any use of force will be met with resistance. We are committed to ensuring justice for all acts of violence on our soil."

The rally concluded with an announcement of a comprehensive non-cooperation campaign set to begin on Sunday, August 4, aimed at pressing for the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her cabinet.
