A case has been filed against 71 activists of the Awami League and Jubo League in Rajshahi, involving allegations of vandalism, looting, and shooting. The case was lodged by Rabiul Alam Milu, the general secretary of Boalia Thana BNP and a former councilor of Ward No. 13 of the Rajshahi City Corporation (RASIK). Milu filed the case at Boalia Model Police Station on Thursday night, naming 21 individuals and accusing an additional 50 unidentified activists.

Among those prominently named in the case are Rasik Panel Mayor and President of the Mahanagar Swachhasevak League, Abdul Momin; Mahanagar Jubo League General Secretary, Taureed Al Masood Roni; Joint General Secretary, Raihanul Islam Royal; Boalia Thana Awami League President, Atiqur Rahman Kalu; and Rasik Ward No. 19 Councilor, O Shah Makhdoom. Also mentioned is Mahanagar Awami League Joint Editor, Tauhidul Haque Sumon.

In his statement, BNP leader Milu detailed the events of July 22, alleging that the accused ambushed his home on the sixth floor with various weapons, including Hansua, Ramada, Chinese axes, knives, GI pipes, and firearms. He claimed that the intruders looted and vandalized household items, including electronic goods, and broke into a cupboard, stealing 10 pieces of gold jewelry and cash amounting to Tk 3 lakh 25 thousand. Milu further alleged that the attackers fired shots and threatened to kill him and his family.

Boalia Model Police Station OC SM Masud Parvez confirmed that Milu's case has been officially recorded and that the police have commenced operations to arrest the accused. However, many of those named in the case are reportedly in hiding, and the police are continuing their efforts to apprehend them.
