Dhaka, Aug 21 (V7N) - Three senior police officers, including Additional Inspector General of Police Md Atiqul Islam, Deputy Inspector General (Addl IGP - Supernumerary) Md Anwar Hossain, and Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman (of DIG rank), have been sent into retirement.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued separate notifications on Wednesday regarding their retirement.

The notifications stated that the officers were retired in the public interest under Section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018.
