Dhaka, Aug 28 (V7N) - During a courtesy visit to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna in Dhaka, Masdupuy revealed that French companies are interested in developing three solar parks and installing "lightning arresters" in 15 districts prone to lightning.

The ambassador expressed France’s readiness to support the interim government and praised President Emmanuel Macron’s invitation for Professor Yunus to visit France at a convenient time. She also conveyed her condolences for the recent loss of lives during the July-August revolution.

Professor Yunus viewed the student-led revolution as an opportunity for substantial national rebuilding, stressing the importance of seizing this chance to avoid failure. He affirmed that the interim government's duration would be determined by public sentiment and reiterated his commitment to human rights and constitutional integrity.

Masdupuy further noted France’s ongoing collaboration with Bangladesh’s civil defense forces and expressed interest in extending assistance in areas such as fighting corruption, human trafficking, forensic cybercrime, and enhancing port and airport security. She also invited Professor Yunus to the 65th-anniversary celebration of Alliance Francaise Dhaka next October and mentioned a planned two-week Bangladesh cultural season in Paris in April 2025.
