Dhaka, Aug 30 (V7N): Professor Muhammad Yunus, who has been serving as Chief Adviser to the interim government for the past three weeks, is set to meet with the nation's prominent political parties this Saturday. This discussion comes amid calls from the BNP for a clear electoral roadmap.

The meeting will be held at the State Guesthouse Jamuna, starting at 3 PM and extending until 8 PM. The interim government's advisory office has confirmed that the talks will last for a continuous five hours, according to Samakal.

Earlier, on Thursday afternoon, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir led a delegation in a meeting with Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus at the same venue. During this meeting, BNP representatives urged the chief adviser to start conversations with political parties about necessary state reforms and electoral matters.

Sources suggest that the chief adviser has informed the BNP delegation that a roadmap concerning state reforms and elections might be released to the public within the next two to three weeks. The interim government intends to engage with various political parties before initiating reforms in the Election Commission, administration, and law enforcement agencies. Following these reforms, the chief adviser will outline a plan for conducting free and fair elections.
