Mymensingh, Sep 16 (V7N) - Two prominent journalists, Mozammel Babu and Shyamal Dutta, along with two others, have been detained by locals in the Dhobaura border area of Mymensingh while allegedly attempting to cross into India illegally. The locals handed over the detainees to the police early Monday morning.
 
Officer-in-Charge of Dhobaura Police Station, Md. Chan Mia, confirmed the incident. He stated that the four individuals, including a senior reporter from Ekattor Television, Mahbubur Rahman, and a private car driver named Selim, were stopped by locals at around 6:00 AM. The group, traveling in a private car, was apprehended near the Dhobaura-Purbadhala border area.
 
All four detainees are now in police custody, and legal measures are being processed, according to police sources.
