Dhaka, Nov 20 (V7N)- In response to the recent labor unrest at Beximco Limited, the government has decided to provide financial loans to clear the workers' overdue wages for October 2024. This decision was announced in a press release issued on Tuesday by the Ministry of Labor and Employment and the Finance Department.

The press release stated that the move aims to address the grievances of workers and restore normalcy in the production processes at Beximco Limited. The financial assistance is expected to resolve the ongoing unrest and ensure that workers receive their due payments promptly.

The government has also called on workers to return to work immediately, urging all factories in the Ashulia-Chandra industrial belt to maintain uninterrupted production.

This decision underscores the government’s commitment to resolving labor disputes while maintaining law and order in the country's vital industrial zones. It remains to be seen how the disbursement of loans will progress and whether it will effectively address workers' concerns.
