Dhaka International Trade Fair has started on January 21 due to the National Assembly elections. From 1995 to 2020, this fair was held in Sher e bangla nagar as a joint initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and the Export Development Bureau. The fair could not be held in 2021 due to the corona epidemic. Then the fair moved for the first time in 2022 to the Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachle amid the pandemic restrictions.

Due to various adversities including postponement of the date for the third time, the traders demanded to extend the duration of the fair by three days. But the organizers did not respond to that demand.
