Dhaka, Mar 03 (V7N) – The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been reduced for consumers in Bangladesh. The new price of a 12 kg cylinder has been set at Tk 1,450, a reduction of Tk 28 from the previous rate of Tk 1,478. The new pricing will take effect from Monday evening.

Jalal Ahmed, Chairman of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), announced the price adjustment at a press conference on Monday afternoon. He stated that for the month of March, the price of a 12 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk 28. Additionally, the price of autogas has been adjusted by Tk 1.31, bringing it to Tk 66.43 per liter.

This price change follows a previous increase in LPG prices on February 2, when the cost of a 12 kg LPG cylinder was raised by Tk 19, bringing it to Tk 1,478, and autogas was priced at Tk 67.74.

The recent reduction in LPG prices is expected to offer relief to consumers amid the ongoing challenges of rising fuel costs.
