Dhaka, Sep 26 (V7N) – The retail prices of raw vegetables remained largely stable during the holiday period, while chicken prices increased by 10 to 15 taka per kilogram, depending on the type.

A survey of Karwan Bazar and other markets in the capital on Friday showed that gherkins are selling at 80 taka per kg, tomatoes at 120 taka per kg, and cucumbers at 60–80 taka per kg. Lemons are priced between 60 and 90 taka per dozen, while raw chilies are 120 taka per kg. Coriander leaves range from 80 to 120 taka per kg, papaya is 40 taka per kg, and carrots are 120 taka per kg.

In the retail chicken market, boilers are selling at 170–180 taka per kg, cock chicken at 300 taka per kg, and local chicken at 600 taka per kg.

Vegetable sellers noted that prices have remained unchanged since last week, and no significant fluctuations were observed despite the holidays and the upcoming autumn Durga Puja.
