Dhaka, Jan 30 (V7N) — The month-long 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair is set to conclude tomorrow, with visitors thronging the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center (BBCFEC) in Purbachal today, the final Friday of the fair.

Excitement was visible among buyers and families visiting the fair since morning. Security arrangements have been tightened, and various facilities have been put in place to entertain attendees.

Traders are offering discounts on remaining stock, giving buyers the chance to purchase products at reduced prices. Kashmiri shawls, carpets, home decoration lamps, and clothing remain the most sought-after items, while domestic products such as furniture, electronics, cosmetics, and affordable electric stoves are also drawing significant attention. Housewives, in particular, have shown keen interest in household products.

Sellers noted that visitor numbers on weekdays have been slightly lower this year due to preparations for the national elections, but they hope today’s and tomorrow’s sales will help recover losses incurred earlier in the fair. The fair will remain open until 10 pm tomorrow, offering a final opportunity for shoppers who have yet to visit.

The 30th edition of the fair was inaugurated at BBCFEC Bhaban, Sector 4, Purbachal, on Saturday, January 3, at 10:30 am.
