Over the last 10 days, the price of gold has seen a significant drop of Tk8,176.

The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announced its sixth consecutive reduction in gold prices on Monday.

Specifically, the price of 22-carat gold has decreased by Tk1,155 per bhori.

The revised price for one bhori (11.664 grams) of high-quality 22-carat gold now stands at Tk1,11,461, compared to the previous price of Tk1,12,615.

This update was conveyed through a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bajus.

The release mentioned that the adjustment in gold prices was made considering the overall market situation.

The new prices will come into effect from 4 pm on Monday.

Notably, on April 18, the price of a 22-carat gold bar was Tk1,19,637. Since then, gold prices have been reduced on April 23, 24, 25, 27, and 28.

Prior to these reductions, gold prices experienced three consecutive increases, with hikes on April 6, 8, and 18.
