In a groundbreaking move, tech giant Apple announced today the integration of ChatGPT into its flagship iPhone series. This announcement, however, was met with immediate backlash from Elon Musk, who raised concerns over data security. Musk expressed his apprehensions in a tweet on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, June 10.

Musk's tweet indicated his deep concerns about the integration of artificial intelligence at the operating system level of Apple devices. He warned of potential repercussions, threatening to ban the use of Apple products within his companies, which include Tesla, SpaceX, Starlink, Neuralink, and X.

In his tweet, Musk stated, "If the Apple OS (operating system) integrates with OpenAI, Apple devices will be banned from my companies."

He further criticized Apple's decision, questioning its implications for user privacy and security. "Where Apple can't build its own AI system, how can they use OpenAI to ensure your (user's) privacy and security? This is patently absurd," Musk wrote.

Musk also accused Apple of negligence regarding user data. "Apple has no idea what happens after they hand over your (user) data to OpenAI. They are cheating you," he added.

The integration of ChatGPT into iPhones marks a significant step for Apple in enhancing the AI capabilities of its devices. However, Musk's concerns highlight the ongoing debate over data privacy and the responsibilities of tech companies in safeguarding user information.

As this situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how Apple will address these concerns and whether Musk's threat will impact the use of Apple devices in his companies.
