The price of 22-carat gold will be Tk122,985 per bhori starting Monday, up from Tk120,080, marking the highest price in the country's history.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) announced the price hike for gold in the local market on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the price will be Tk117,398 for 21-carat gold, Tk106,025 for 18-carat gold and Tk83,199 for traditional gold.
Despite the rise in gold prices, the price of silver remains unchanged. Currently, the price of 22-carat silver is Tk2,100 per bhori, 21-carat is Tk2,060, 18-carat is Tk1,715 and traditional silver is Tk1,283 per bhori.
