The Bangladesh Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has increased its readiness at the Central Shaheed Minar in Dhaka in advance of Language Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day, in a resolute action to ensure security. At a press briefing on Tuesday, RAB Director General M. Khurshid Hossain affirmed the adoption of strict security measures.

Seven CCTV cameras that provide thorough 360-degree monitoring have been installed as part of the security upgrades.

"There is no specific threat related to Shaheed Day, thanks to our extensive security measures," Hossain said in response to public fears about possible attacks. We guarantee the security of the Central Shaheed Minar premises and are ready to handle any emergency.

RAB has increased its alertness to safeguard vulnerable populations in addition to technical improvements. Hossain continued, emphasizing the all-encompassing character of their security measures, saying that the elite force is on high alert with an emphasis on protecting women and children in particular.

Another important role being played is the RAB's Cyber team, which is entrusted with keeping an eye on internet areas to stop the spread of incitement and misleading material. Part of a larger plan to preserve security and tranquility throughout the commemoration is this digital surveillance.

RAB has also made preparations for quick reaction situations, such as having a helicopter on standby around-the-clock to handle any unanticipated situations.

On a number of highways, security checkpoints are being installed to monitor and limit the movement of those who seem suspicious. There would be a visible increase of RAB troops, both in Dhaka and around the nation, with the goal of preventing and reducing any unrest.

To strengthen the Central Shaheed Minar region, law enforcement authorities have coordinated their efforts. To ensure a secure and somber Language Martyrs' Day, specialist units like as bomb disposal teams and canine squads will be stationed alongside RAB. This is part of a comprehensive security detail.
