Ahnaf Tahmin Ayham, a Motijheel Ideal School and College class four pupil passed away on Friday night following what is believed to have been the administration of general anesthesia during a circumcision surgery at a private hospital in the Malibagh area of the capital in Bangladesh.

After Ahnaf, a 10-year-old kid, passed away, police detained two physicians at JS Hospital and Medical Checkup Centre (JSHMCC). Ahnaf's father, Fakhrul Islam, filed a lawsuit alleging three doctors and five other unidentified individuals were responsible for the tragedy.

Officer-in-charge of Hatirjheel Police Station Awlad Hussain stated that the arrestees were being questioned and that the family claimed the kid died during circumcision.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS Director (Hospitals), Abu Hussain Md Moinul Ahsan, said on Wednesday that the JS Hospital and Medical Checkup Centre (JSHMCC) has been closed following the incident.

The youngster was taken to the operating room by physicians at about 8:00 p.m., according to Ahnaf's parents. The child did not regain consciousness after receiving general anesthesia. Officials at the hospital pronounced him dead an hour later.
