Dhaka, Jan 08, (V7N) - Law enforcement officials have apprehended two individuals in the Wari area of Dhaka, seizing a foreign weapon, a magazine, and four rounds of Bullets. The arrest took place at 2:15 AM on Tuesday near the Joy Kali Temple. The suspects have been identified as Marzan Ahmed Roni, alias Bhagne Roni (38), and Mohammad Mahin Khan (25).

Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Talebur Rahman of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Media and Public Relations Division confirmed the news. According to sources from Wari Police Station, the operation was initiated following a confidential tip-off. The report indicated that a group of locals was brandishing illegal firearms near the temple, aiming to assert dominance in the area and gain control over Kaptan Bazar.

Acting on directives from senior officials, a patrol team from Wari Police Station launched a swift operation, resulting in the arrest of the two suspects. The police recovered a foreign weapon, along with a magazine and four rounds of Bullets, during the raid.

A formal case has been registered under the Arms Act at Wari Police Station against the accused.
