Dhaka, Feb 23 (V7N)- In a massive drive to enforce traffic laws, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division has filed 4,161 cases in just three days. Many of the violators have also been fined, according to a press release from the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Department on Sunday.
The crackdown, conducted on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (Feb 22), also led to the dumping of 432 vehicles and the wrecking of 107 others.
The DMP has stated that its traffic enforcement campaign will continue to maintain order on Dhaka’s roads. Authorities have urged commuters and drivers to follow traffic rules strictly to avoid legal action.
