Dhaka, Jun 05 (V7N) – The main congregation for the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be held at 7:30 AM on Saturday, June 7, at the National Eidgah located within the High Court premises in the capital.

Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Shahjahan Mia shared this information during a briefing on Eid arrangements, including congregations, haat (markets), and waste management, on Thursday morning (June 5).

He added that in case of unfavorable weather conditions, the main congregation will be moved to the Baitul Mukarram Mosque, starting at 8:00 AM.

The National Eidgah can accommodate 35,000 worshippers for the Eid prayers. Shahjahan Mia also assured that DSCC will manage the disposal of sacrificial waste within 12 hours after Eid.

Meanwhile, at Baitul Mukarram Mosque, five congregations will be organized in phases. According to a press release from the Islamic Foundation, the schedule is as follows:

  • 1st congregation at 7:00 AM

  • 2nd congregation at 8:00 AM

  • 3rd congregation at 9:00 AM

  • 4th congregation at 10:00 AM

  • 5th and final congregation at 10:45 AM

These measures aim to facilitate smooth Eid prayers and ensure public convenience and safety during the festival.
