According to the Meteorological Department's latest forecast issued on Tuesday (April 9) evening, there is no likelihood of any storm activity in the near future. The extension of the western low pressure system is currently positioned in and around West Bengal, resulting in dry weather conditions across the region.

The forecast indicates that the western low pressure extension, situated over West Bengal and neighboring areas, coupled with the seasonal normal low pressure over the South Bay of Bengal, will prevent the occurrence of rain in the foreseeable future. Consequently, the weather across the country is expected to remain predominantly dry with partly cloudy skies.

In addition, a mild heat wave is currently affecting several districts including Chuadanga, Faridpur, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Bandarban, Rangamati, and Patuakhali. This heat wave may further intensify over the next 24 hours, leading to a rise in daytime temperatures by 1-2 degrees Celsius. Nighttime temperatures are also anticipated to increase marginally during this period.

Moreover, the Meteorological Department has warned that temperatures may continue to escalate over the next 48 hours, emphasizing the need for precautionary measures to mitigate the effects of the rising heat. Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions to cope with the prevailing weather conditions.
