The northernmost district, Panchagarh, is shivering from extreme cold. In a single day, the area's temperature fell by three degrees Celsius. The nation's lowest temperature of the season, 5.8 degrees Celsius, was recorded at Tentulia in Panchagarh on Friday, January 26, at 9 a.m.

The district is experiencing a cold current, ranging from mild to severe, according to the Meteorological Office. In contrast to the past several days, Panchagarh has seen an uptick in temperature, indicating how severe winter is in the Konkan.

Meanwhile, despite the fact that the day is growing longer, there is a lot of fog in the vicinity of this district. Workers and those with modest incomes are suffering more and more as the temperature drops and the severity of winter grows. As a result, there are far less people at traffic lights at major intersections. Public life has devolved into public sorrow in Konkan winter.

Conversely, as winter approaches, so do a number of illnesses linked to the season, such as pneumonia, respiratory issues, and diarrhea. The majority of the victims are old people and children. The number of patients in hospitals exceeds the number of beds. Concerned authorities and physicians are finding it difficult to handle the situation.

It should be mentioned that Chuadanga and Sirajganj recorded the lowest temperatures of the season earlier on January 23. That day, the lowest temperature recorded there was 6.6 degrees Celsius.
