DHAKA, July 29 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted temporary gusty or squally winds accompanied by rain or thunderstorms over seven regions of the country by 1:00 PM on Tuesday.
According to the weather bulletin issued for inland river ports, the regions likely to be affected include Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar.
Winds from the south/southeast are expected to sweep across these areas at speeds of 45 to 60 km per hour, with the potential for sudden strong gusts. Rain or thundershowers may also occur intermittently.
As a precaution, all river ports in the mentioned regions have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number one.
Meteorologists continue to monitor the developing weather system and have urged the public, especially river travelers and local authorities, to remain alert and follow official guidance throughout the day.
