Dhaka, Apr 15 (V7N) – The International Crimes Tribunal has issued an arrest warrant against Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail, a former officer of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) media wing, in connection with the kidnapping and torture of a man for 47 days. The tribunal has also ordered Sohail to appear before it on June 18.
In a separate case, three police officers have been arrested and sent to jail in connection with the burning of six bodies in Savar on August 5, during the July uprising. These officers have also been arrested in another case filed with the tribunal.
The three officers are:

Md. Abdullahil Kafi, former Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) of Dhaka District,

Md. Shahidul Islam, former Additional Superintendent of Police (Savar Circle) of Dhaka District, and
-
Md. Arafat Hossain, former DB Inspector.
Additionally, the tribunal has issued an arrest warrant for Touhidul Islam, a Jubo League cadre, who is accused of opening fire directly on student protesters during the July movement in Chittagong.
The three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Golam Mortuza Majumder, issued these orders following separate applications from the prosecution.
