Dhaka, July 10 (V7N)- The Appellate Division has issued a four-week status quo on the High Court's verdict regarding the quota system for freedom fighters in government jobs. The order was given by a five-member bench led by Chief Justice Obaidul Hassan, with a hearing date set for four weeks later.

Attorney General AM Amin Uddin represented the state, while Advocate Shah Manzurul Huque represented the petitioner. The court also urged protesting students to return to their classes and seek legal representation.
 
This decision comes amidst ongoing debates and protests over the quota system in government employment, highlighting the significance of legal processes in resolving such contentious issues.
