Rangamati, Feb 14, (V7N) - A man was arrested by Kotwali police in Rangamati while attempting to send a parcel containing 10 kilograms of cannabis through a private courier service.
 
On Thursday afternoon, Arifur Rahman was detained at SA Paribahon in the Banrupa area after attempting to send 10 bundles of cannabis wrapped in paper designed for dry vegetables. The police confirmed the arrest to reporters.
 
According to information from the police, Arifur had come to book the parcel for delivery to Jhenaidah. However, SA Paribahon officials became suspicious and alerted the police, leading to Arifur’s arrest.
 
Police are continuing the process of filing a case against him under the Narcotics Control Act.
