Savar, Feb 15 (V7N) – Three people, including the bus driver’s assistant, were injured in a robbery on a passenger bus in Savar. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when two robbers armed with sharp knives boarded the bus at Police Town area on the Dhaka-Aricha highway. The robbers looted mobile phones, wallets, and chains from passengers, and when passengers attempted to stop them, they attacked three individuals with knives before fleeing. The victims were rushed to the hospital with injuries.
 
According to the victims, a Shubhjatra Paribahan passenger bus was traveling from Manikganj to Gulistan. In order to pick up passengers at the Police Town area of the Dhaka-Aricha route in Savar, the bus was halted at around 12:30 pm.At that moment, two bandits with sharp knives got on the bus, searched the front passengers, and took their wallets and cell phones. Later, they also grabbed several female travelers' chains by the neck. in one point, other passengers on the bus stopped the thieves as they were robbing the people in the back of the bus. The bandits then used sharp knives to assault the passengers before escaping the vehicle.
 
There were fifteen to twenty people aboard the bus, according to Shahidul Islam, one of the passengers. Everyone was seated at will. I initially didn't understand the robbery and assumed they were fighting about the fare.After hearing the woman scream, everyone realized what was going on and attempted to apprehend the thieves when they walked to the rear and removed the chain from her neck. The thieves then attacked three passengers, including the assistant to the bus driver, and ran away.
