Pabna, Sept 25, V7N - A tragic incident occurred in Ataikula, Pabna Sadar Upazila, where a mother and daughter lost their lives due to electrocution. The accident took place in Kacharpur Purbpara village on Wednesday, September 25, around 4:30 p.m.

The victims were identified as Arjina Khatun, 45, and her daughter Arsha Khatun, 13. Arsha was a class 8 student at Kacharpur Dakhil Madrasa. They were the wife and daughter of Nawab Uddin Khan from the same village.

According to local sources, Arsha was bathing in rainwater under the tin roof of their home when she was electrocuted upon touching an iron door. The electric wire had come into contact with the cowshed, electrifying the area. When Arjina tried to rescue her daughter, both were electrocuted and tragically died on the spot.

The local community is in shock, with many visiting the family to offer their condolences. Nawab Uddin Khan, in a tearful statement, shared that he had great dreams for his daughter, who was a talented student, and expressed his devastation at losing both his wife and daughter.

Ataikula Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Habibul Islam confirmed the deaths and urged people to exercise caution during rainy weather to avoid similar accidents.
