Barguna, Sep 27 (V7N)- Barguna, a coastal district rich in natural beauty, celebrated World Tourism Day with vibrant activities aimed at showcasing the region's diverse landscapes and promoting its tourism potential. The event took place on Friday, September 27, and featured a variety of activities designed to highlight the district's untapped natural diversity.

The celebration began with a colorful procession in front of the Barguna District Commissioner's office, drawing attention to the importance of tourism in the region. The event was organized by Eco Tourism and Resort, emphasizing the theme of sustainable tourism development.

Following the procession, a discussion meeting was held in the golden jubilee conference room of the Barguna District Commissioner’s office. The meeting was designed to explore ways to advance Barguna's tourism sector, considering the district’s potential as a tourist destination.

Barguna District Commissioner Mohammad Shafiul Alam served as the chief guest, while Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Zahirul Haque participated as a special guest. The program was presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Shubra Das. Md. Sohail Hafiz, President of the Barguna District Tourism Entrepreneurship Committee, also presided over key discussions.

During the meeting, speakers discussed strategies for improving infrastructure, enhancing the tourism experience, and promoting Barguna’s natural beauty on both national and international platforms.
