Bagerhat, Oct 05 (V7N)-  World Teacher's Day 2024 was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Morelganj, Bagerhat. The event, held on Saturday at 10 AM, commenced with a vibrant rally led by Upazila Executive Officer Badruddoja , followed by a discussion meeting and prayers to honor teachers and reflect on their vital role in society.

This year’s theme, "Teacher's Voice: New Social Commitment in Education," resonated deeply with the participants, emphasizing the evolving responsibilities of educators in shaping society. The special guest of the event was Maulana Md. Picture Ahmed , Acting Principal of Government Siraj Uddin Memorial College, alongside Saiful Islam , Secondary Education Officer, Ripon Chandra Das , Assistant Upazila Primary Education Officer, Shahidul Haque Babul , Upazila BNP Convener, and Maulana Shahadat Hossain , Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Several distinguished speakers, including BNP leader Md. Giyas Uddin Talukder , Principal Dr. Md. Ruhul Amin , Principal Maulana Abdus Salam , Principal Abdul Alim , and others, shared their thoughts on the importance of teachers in fostering education and their growing commitment to social development.

Teachers from various educational institutions, including Md. Belayet Hossain , Assistant Teacher Zakir Hossain , and Md. Nuruzzaman , along with primary school head teacher Haroon Or Rashid , and Ebatedayi Madrasa teacher leader Abul Ala Sharif , were also present. They highlighted the challenges faced by teachers and stressed the importance of community support in enhancing educational standards.

The program concluded with a prayer for the well-being of teachers, the nation, and the country, seeking blessings for continued success in the educational sector.

World Teacher's Day serves as a reminder of the pivotal role educators play in nurturing future generations and driving social progress, and this year’s celebration in Morelganj reaffirmed that commitment.
