Barguna, Oct 10 (V7N) – In a groundbreaking development, a young innovator from Barguna, Abdullah Al Saim, has invented an extraordinary pair of shoes designed to protect women from rape and assist them in emergency situations. These innovative shoes are equipped with a GPS tracker and a 250-volt electric shock device for self-defense, and they charge automatically through the wearer’s movement.

Ninat, as he is commonly known, is only a student of class IX at Barguna Evergreen School, yet his passion for innovation has already led him to create drones, planes, and approximately fifty other inventions. His latest creation, aimed at addressing violence against women, has garnered significant attention for its potential to make a real impact on women’s safety.

Speaking about his invention, Abdullah Al Saim explained, “If a woman is in danger, such as being harassed or dragged somewhere, she often can’t use her phone to ask for help. That’s why I’ve integrated a GPS tracker into the shoes. By pressing the front of the shoe once, a message will be sent to a pre-set emergency contact, such as a parent, sibling, or close relative. Pressing it twice will make an automatic call to that person, allowing them to track the wearer’s live location and come to her aid. For immediate self-defense, the other shoe can deliver a 250-volt electric shock.”

The young scientist’s invention doesn’t stop there. The shoes are equipped with a piezoelectric plate that allows them to charge automatically while walking, ensuring that the device is always ready in case of an emergency.

Abdullah Al Saim’s passion for innovation began at an early age. He first attempted to build drones when he was in the sixth grade, eventually succeeding in his eighth attempt three years later. His other achievements include creating a fighter aircraft modelled after the F22 Raptor, which he named "Ninat F Twenty Two Raptor." Saim has also designed special glasses for blind individuals. Last year, he achieved first place at the district level of the science and technology fair and ranked 20th at the national level. This year, he aims to secure first place with his rape-resistant shoes.

Saim’s father, Habibullah Kalam, a teacher, shared his pride in his son’s achievements and expressed hope for further support. "So far, our family has funded all of Saim’s discoveries and inventions. With government support, his research could go even further," he said.

Abdullah Al Saim’s vision is to continue pursuing his passion for science and innovation, with hopes of becoming an engineer in the future. His latest invention stands as a testament to his ingenuity and his commitment to using technology to address critical social issues.
