Kushtia, Nov 07 (V7N) — Islamic University in Kushtia commemorated National Revolution and Solidarity Day with a rally and prayer mahfil on campus, gathering members of various student and faculty organizations to honor the day. The event began at 11 a.m., with a procession starting from the Faculty Building and moving through prominent roads across campus.

Participants in the rally paid tribute at the university’s foundation stone near the campus police station. The event drew attendees from Zia Parishad, the University Teachers' Association of Bangladesh (UTAB), and Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD). Leaders and supporters from these groups marched together, showing solidarity and honoring the significance of the day.

Dr. Nurun Nahar, Acting President of Zia Parishad, presided over the program, while Dr. Md. Rashiduzzaman, Organizing Secretary of Zia Parishad, hosted it. The organization’s Central Secretary General, Prof. Dr. Amtaz Hossain, also participated.

Other prominent attendees included university Proctor Prof. Dr. Shahinuzzaman, former Teachers' Association President Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Zia Parishad member Prof. Dr. Alinur Rahman, UTAB Organizing Secretary Prof. Dr. Abdul Gafur Gazi, and Zia Parishad Assistant Secretary General Waliur Hasan Pikul. Additionally, Vice-Chancellor’s Personal Secretary Golam Mahfuz Manju, JCD convener Shahed Ahmed, member secretary Masud Rumi Mithun, senior joint convener Anwar Parvez, and other JCD members joined in the observance.

After the procession, participants offered prayers for the nation’s peace and prosperity, marking the day with reverence and unity.
