Chittagong, Dec 21 (V7N) — The Panamanian-flagged ship MV Yuan Jiang Fa Zhong has docked at the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port for the second time, carrying a substantial load of containerized goods from Karachi Port in Pakistan.
The shipment includes a variety of essential items, such as refined sugar, minerals like dolomite, soda ash, raw materials for the glass industry, rolls of cloth for the garment sector, and iron scrap. In addition, the ship transported 10 containers of food products, dates, lube oil, and machine parts from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
This time, the vessel carried a total of 811 single containers, with 86% of the cargo originating from Pakistan. The remaining goods were from the UAE. This follows its initial visit to Chittagong Port in November, when it delivered 370 single containers.
The arrival of the MV Yuan Jiang Fa Zhong highlights the growing trade connectivity between Pakistan, the UAE, and Bangladesh, particularly in the exchange of industrial and consumer goods.
