Sunlight has not been seen till 10 am today. Shops are closed. There is no gathering of people in the raw market. Blankets are being distributed among the needy. Khulna Divisional Commissioner Firoz Sarkar and Deputy Commissioner Saiful Islam are distributing blankets every day.
Some are buying date juice. Again, there is a buzz of eating juice paste in groups.

The lowest temperature recorded in Khulna division till 3 pm on Friday was 9.6 degrees Celsius in Kumarkhali (Kushtia). Khulna meteorologists say that such weather is likely to continue for another two or three days. In such a situation, normal life is being disrupted. He said, the lowest temperature in the country was recorded in Tetulia at 8.3 degrees Celsius. This is a decrease of 3 degrees Celsius in the last one day. Compared to the previous day, the temperature in Khulna division has decreased by an average of 2 to 2.4 degrees Celsius
According to the Khulna Meteorological Office, the relative humidity in the air in Khulna and Chuadanga was 94 percent on Friday. In addition, it was 88 percent in Kumarkhali and 94 percent in Koyra Upazila of Khulna. Meanwhile, in such weather conditions, there was very little crowd at Khulna Metropolis Ghat No. 6, which is known for its clear entertainment. Sujan Mia, a nut seller at the Ghat, said that since it is a holiday every Friday, the Mem Sahibs still come to visit. They rent boats and ride. Almonds were sold for about 1,000 taka in an hour. It is now 3:30 pm. The Asr call to prayer will be heard a little later. But people are not seen like that. Due to the winter, no one is coming out of their homes. Due to which it is almost empty here compared to other Fridays.
People's suffering is increasing in line with the winter. Public life has been disrupted by the extreme cold and icy winds. Nature has been covered in dense fog since dawn. Road and water communication is being severely disrupted. As a result of the cold, normal work has become sluggish. In this situation, the hard-working and daily wage workers are facing unbearable hardship. Some are trying to ward off the cold by gathering straw and lighting fires. Many are crowding the shops on the sidewalks to buy warm clothes for a small amount of money.
Mujibur Rahman, a resident of the city's Fujikalar area, said that public life has been disrupted due to dense fog and bitter cold. People are not able to leave their homes except for urgent needs.
