Rajshahi, Mar 20 (V7N) – The Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) organized a prayer and iftar mahfil at the Police Lines, aimed at promoting peace, prosperity, and welfare for the country and the nation.
The event, held during the holy month of Ramadan, saw the participation of high-ranking police officials, including Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian, Rajshahi Range DIG Mohammad Shahjahan, and Rajshahi District Police Superintendent Farzana Islam.
In addition to the main event at the Police Lines, separate prayer and iftar gatherings were also organized at each police station, outpost, Detective Branch (DB), and traffic unit within the RMP jurisdiction.
During his address, Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian emphasized the significance of Ramadan, highlighting the importance of restraint and self-purification. He urged attendees to incorporate these values into their daily lives.
"In his speech, the Police Commissioner discussed the importance of the holy month of Ramadan, the lessons of restraint and self-purification, and urged everyone to reflect these lessons in their lives," a police spokesperson stated.
Following the speeches, special prayers were conducted for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of Bangladesh and its citizens.
The RMP's initiative reflects a commitment to fostering community harmony and spiritual reflection during the holy month of Ramadan.
