Bagerhat, Apr 28 (V7N) - National Legal Aid Day was observed in Bagerhat today with various events centered around the slogan, "There is no joy in conflict, compromise brother, legal aid is by your side, no worries."

The day's activities commenced on Monday morning (April 28th) at the Bagerhat court premises, where District Sessions Judge and District Legal Aid Committee President Ashraful Islam inaugurated the celebration by releasing balloons and pigeons.

Following the inauguration, a vibrant rally, organized by the District Legal Aid Committee, proceeded from the court premises. The rally participants marched along the Bagerhat-Khulna highway before concluding back at the court premises. District judges, officials from the executive department, lawyers, and individuals from various professions took part in the procession.

During the ensuing discussion, speakers emphasized that impoverished individuals would not be denied justice, assuring them of the government's commitment to providing all necessary legal assistance. They called upon everyone to contribute from their respective positions to disseminate this message to all segments of society, suggesting that such collective effort would imbue the day with true meaning.

Bagerhat Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, Government Counsel Mahbub Morshed Lalon, and officials from the Justice and Executive Departments were present at the event.
