Pabna, Oct 11 (V7N) – In the remote village of Noldanga, Handial Union, Chatmohar Upazila, farmer Moksed Ghosh expressed deep frustration over the lack of political attention and development in the area since the country’s independence. Speaking at a local tea shop on Thursday evening, he said that no Member of Parliament or candidate had ever visited the region, leaving residents without infrastructure and government support.

Earlier that evening, Alhaj Hasanul Islam Raja, advisor to the Nationalist Snskritik Dal, visited Noldanga and surrounding areas for a grassroots outreach program as a prospective candidate for the Pabna-3 constituency. During brief meetings with villagers, he highlighted the long-standing neglect, noting the absence of even basic roads and development projects in the area over decades.

Raja urged the community to unite and support a local candidate for Parliament, emphasizing the need for social security, peace, and proper development. “Foreign MPs cannot ensure our region’s progress. Only a candidate from Chatmohar will safeguard our community’s rights and welfare,” he said.

The public meetings were organized with the help of former local BNP leaders, including Chatmohar municipal BNP former joint secretary Zaharul Islam Master, former treasurer Rafiqul Islam, and others from various unions within the upazila.

Later, Raja conducted extensive outreach across Mohila Bazar, Aringail Bazar, Bejpara, and Baludiar Bazar, interacting with residents of different professions and urging support for a local parliamentary candidate under the Dhanshis symbol, stressing unity beyond party, caste, or religion.

The campaign highlights the growing demand for locally rooted political leadership to address persistent developmental neglect in rural areas of Pabna-3.
