Mongla, Jan 11 (V7N) — Molla Rahmatullah, joint chief organizer of the National Citizen Party (NCP) and the party’s nominated parliamentary candidate for the Bagerhat-3 constituency (Mongla–Rampal) in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, is actively campaigning to generate strong public support for a ‘Yes’ vote in the upcoming referendum.

On Saturday (January 10), he carried out a door-to-door and street-level campaign in Mongla municipal town, urging voters to support the ‘Yes’ option. He has been regularly visiting different areas of Mongla and Rampal to raise public awareness and mobilize voters in favor of the referendum.

Speaking during the campaign, Molla Rahmatullah said the objective of the referendum is to ensure that the rights of all people in Bangladesh remain protected. He emphasized that citizens should not have to witness a return to past misgovernance and said he is working to build a public wave in favor of a ‘Yes’ vote to promote accountability, fairness, and democratic values.

Several local party leaders and activists joined the campaign, including NCP Bagerhat district representative Md. Abu Hasan, Mongla Upazila NCP joint coordinator Abdullah Marine, municipal NCP leader Sohel Hossain, and Bagerhat district youth wing leader Ripon Halder, along with other supporters.

The campaign activities reflect the NCP’s broader effort to engage voters at the grassroots level and encourage participation in the referendum alongside the national parliamentary election.
