Jhalokathi, Jan 9 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Rover Scout Amua Shaheed Raja Degree College Unit organized a Rover Scout drill and campfire program on Sunday at Chhailarchar, a floating tourist destination in Kathalia upazila.
The program was held under the chairmanship of Rover Scout Course Leader Professor Md. Jahangir Alam. The principal guest was the Acting Principal of the college, Mohammad Abdul Halim.
Special guests included Barishal Divisional Coordinator of The Hunger Project and senior journalist of Samakal Faruk Hossain Khan, College Governing Body member Professor Md. Yusuf Ali Khan, and Governing Body member Fatimatuz Johora.
Speakers at the event included Assistant Professor Laila Arju Mand Banu, Scout Leader Md. A. Jalil Khan, Lecturer Md. Shamim Ahmed, Lecturer Mosa. Ruma Yasmin, Lecturer Ratna Rani, Lecturer Md. Aparajita Ball, social worker Md. Shihab Mia, and students Mosa. Subarna, Mosa. Juthi, and Md. Ferdous Hossain, among others.
Speakers highlighted the importance of Rover Scouting in developing leadership, discipline, social responsibility, and humanitarian values among youth. They encouraged students to actively engage in scouting activities to build character and contribute positively to society.
The event concluded with enthusiastic participation from Rover Scouts, showcasing drills and cultural activities in a disciplined and festive atmosphere.
