263 olive ridley or olive colored sea turtle hatchlings that hatched on the Cox's Bazar beach have released to the sea.

On Saturday (April 6) turtle habitats were released at Teknaf and Ukhia beaches. Bangladesh Marine Research Institute (BORIR) Senior Scientific Officer Tariqul Islam said that 90 healthy Olive Hidley turtles baby’s were born in the Borir Hatchery at Sonarpara in Ukhia on the coast.

He also said, that 173 hatchlings were released into the sea on Saturday morning from Baharchhara and Hazampara Hatcheries of Teknaf of CODEC, a private organization working in the conservation and breeding of sea turtles with the help of USAID.
